My aswang is better than your aswang!

Been preppin for the 3rd Annual BG Benefit Party! It's gonna be a blast! So many things have been going on: people holding events, people doing readings, spoken word, and performances, and even teaching my first class!

Here's the press release for the party. Note that that crazy adobo waxin' Fil-Am comedian Rex Navarrete is going to be the special guest for the evening, and he'll be doing some material from his newly released album "Bastos: The Comedy of Rex Navarrete". And he is truly bastos! This is stuff your lola does not want you to hear...

Come to the 3rd Annual Bamboo Girl Zine Benefit Party!

All funds go towards the next print run of Bamboo Girl Zine, #11. Come support the zine that's been around since 1995, confronting racism, sexism, and homophobia in their various forms as they relate to people of color, particularly those of Asian Pacific Islander/Filipina/mixed blood Asian heritage.

There will be light food, refreshments, and I'll be selling my latest issue, #10, past issues at 1/2 off, as well as BG tees with those eye-catching slogans (showcasing my new rad light blue muscle tees), stickers that would make your mom cry, and those fabulously fragrant soaps from the Philippines by Annomi Soapworks!
